67. Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe: Luke 22:67. Jesus had been betrayed by Judas, arrested, and was before the religious leaders and the council, who were asking if He was the Messiah. They asked this so they could hear His answer for themselves and find Him guilty. None of them were looking for justice or truth. Jesus says plainly, "Hereafter," meaning that while Jesus was then the prisoner being judged, when Christ returns in the power of God, the Son of the Almighty, with all honor, authority, and power, He will not be weak and bound. He will be exalted in His place of authority, next to the Almighty. Judgment will come to all who reject and refuse the salvation of Christ. At that time, they will be compelled to admit they were all wrong, and Jesus is Lord of all. The wise will receive the reward Jesus promised; the fools will receive a judgment they cannot even imagine. Amen, Be Wise.
