Spiral Staircase at The Romanian Athenaeum, Bucharest, Romania
"Ateneul Român" is a concert hall in the center of Bucharest and a landmark of the Romanian capital city. Opened in 1888, the ornate, domed, circular building is the city's most prestigious concert hall. Four monumental spiral staircases of pink Carrara marble (Baroque type) are carried by intermediate elegant floor balconies.
The building was designed by the French architect Albert Galleron.
