20. And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come,Luke 17:20. The Pharisees ask Jesus, When is God's kingdom coming? They were expecting a big political revolution, or signs in the sky. Jesus tells them you will not be able to see it with your eyes. The kingdom of God is not on a map. Jesus, said the kingdom of God is already here, God's kingdom and rule is in the presence of Christ Himself, and in all who believe. The kingdom starts inside you, where God rules your heart, before it ever shows up outside. Jesus tells His disciples, you will one day miss Me, and wish I was here. And some shall say Christ is here, or over there. There will be many false christs and teachers. When Christ returns it will be like lightning from one part of the sky to the other. It will not be in secret, the whole world will see it. Believers know where Jesus is at all times, He is in us, always present. The lesson, God's kingdom is present in Christ. Jesus will return and all shall see. Before His glorious return He must suffer on the Cross. People will miss out being consumed with the world, and spiritually dead. Judgment will come wherever there is spiritual death. But the rewards in Christ are sure. Amen.
