📍Elderly Man in His 70s Robbed, Beaten, and Set on Fire in Downtown LA – Another Horror Show in Gavin Newsom’s Lawless California
👉Just after midnight on Monday, chaos erupted near 6th and Olive streets in downtown Los Angeles, close to Pershing Square.
A 70-year-old man was walking when a suspect approached, assaulted him, robbed him, beat him, and then set him on fire.
LAPD officers arrived to find the victim engulfed in flames.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the call came in around 12:03 a.m. for an assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers located the victim on fire at the scene.
The suspect was quickly arrested just two blocks away near Hope and 6th streets and taken into custody for questioning.
ABC7 and KTLA footage captured the grim scene:
emergency responders rushing in, flames visible, and police securing the area as the victim received urgent medical aid.
One LAPD spokesperson confirmed to reporters:
“When officers arrived on scene, they found a 70-year-old male that had been assaulted and set on fire.”
This is not some isolated freak accident.
It is the rotten fruit of years of soft-on-crime policies, endless coddling of the homeless under the guise of “compassion,” and leadership that refuses to enforce basic law and order.
Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass have presided over a city drowning in tents, needles, and unchecked violence while billions vanish into “homelessness” programs that only make the crisis worse.
The suspect, reportedly homeless, fits the pattern of repeat offenders and mentally unstable individuals turned loose on the streets thanks to failed progressive experiments like Prop 47 and revolving-door justice.
