Trump just cut $11 million from Catholic Charities after the group helped run Biden’s unaccompanied-migrant system. The contract funded shelter, care, and foster-style placement services for migrant minors who entered the U.S. without a parent or legal guardian, and now the Miami operation will be forced to shut down within three months after the federal government declined to renew the funding. HHS says the reason is that the number of unaccompanied children in federal care has dropped sharply, from a Biden-era peak of about 22,000 to roughly 1,900 now, as the administration says it is also trying to stop illegal entry and the smuggling and trafficking of unaccompanied alien children.
