OPINION: Yesterday, she [Spanberger] signed away Virginia’s electoral college votes to California and New York. SB322 would overturn Virginia’s presidential election results if the loser of the electoral college won the popular vote. So if Virginia’s population chooses a Republican, but New York and California overwhelmingly choose a Democrat, Virginia cedes their EC votes to the whims of voters in those two states.It also overturns the constitutional republic framework the founders put into place against mob rule 250 years ago (happy birthday America!).Republicans better wise up.
