Friendly reminder of what they said:Schumer claimed the SAVE Act appeals only to the “most fringe element of the MAGA base.”Then CNN put the numbers on the screen:White Americans: 85% support voter IDLatino Americans: 82%Black Americans: 76%The anchor made it clear:Voter ID is not controversial in this country.Not by party.Not by race.The vast majority of Americans support it.So when Schumer calls voter ID “fringe MAGA,” he is also lumping in 76% of Black Americans, 82% of Latinos, and 85% of White Americans.
