Genuine Prophetesses
There is something the enemy has tried to silence for generations the voice of a woman who hears from God.
But all throughout Scripture, God made it clear… He is not limited by man’s expectations. When He finds a willing heart, He will use it whether it’s a man or a woman.
Look at Deborah.
In a time when Israel was bound, oppressed, and living under fear, God did not raise up a king… He raised up a woman. A prophetess. A judge. A voice that would not tremble when God spoke.
Deborah didn’t sit quietly in the shadows. She sat under that palm tree and judged a nation. She heard the voice of God and spoke it boldly, even when others hesitated.
And when it was time for war, she didn’t shrink back. She stood. She spoke.
She went.
And God gave victory.
But the story doesn’t stop there…
God raised up another woman Jael.
While a mighty commander fled in fear, thinking he had found safety, God had already prepared the hand that would bring him down. Not with an army. Not with a sword in battle. But through a woman who was willing to act when the moment came.
Jael didn’t hesitate.
She didn’t second-guess.
She understood that God had placed her in that moment for a reason.
And with one decisive act, the enemy that had terrorized a nation fell.
Two women.
Two different roles.
One powerful truth:
God uses those who are willing.
And He is still the same today.
He is still looking for women who will not be intimidated… not silenced… not pushed back into a corner by fear, doubt, or the opinions of others.
Women who will pray when no one else is praying.
Women who will speak truth when compromise is easier. Women who will stand when others bow.
You don’t have to fit into someone else’s expectation to be used by God.
You don’t have to be loud in the world’s eyes but you must be bold in the Spirit.
Deborah was bold in her voice.
Jael was bold in her action.
And today, God is still raising up women who will be bold in both.
This is not a time to shrink back.
This is not a time to stay silent.
This is a time to rise, to speak, to stand, and to trust that the same God who delivered Israel through the hands of women is still moving today.
He will use our voice.
He will use your obedience.
He will use your courage.
So don’t be afraid.
Be bold.
Because when God places His hand on a woman who is willing, there is no force of darkness that can stand against what He is about to do.
