Ha! Somali TikToker MELTS DOWN over Ron DeSantis simply saying America shouldn’t import people who openly dislike the country
A TikTok creator posted a 4-minute freakout because DeSantis dared to suggest the most basic, obvious truth about immigration:
➡️ We should only bring in people who actually want to be part of America.
That’s it.
That’s the “racism.”
His complaints: "There is an all-out assault on Somali Americans. And I kid you not, it is coming from some of the highest elected officials to some of the local politicians and everywhere in between. And unelected people too.
And here's my question:
I was just watching Governor Ron DeSantis from Florida, Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis basically talking crap about Somalis.
🔹️And mind you, probably Somalis make about statistical...
🔹️mind you, the Somali-American number in the state of Florida is probably nonexistent. Outside of spring break vacationers, right?
They don't exist almost.
But he basically says, listen:
DeSantis: “Legal immigration is bad, illegal immigration no matter what is good. And wait a minute.
Now, I'm not saying any of it is that it's all bad or what, but is bringing 10 million people from like Somalia and dumping them into Georgia, is that good because it’s legal?
I think you have to think critically about what are we doing with an immigration policy and is it benefiting the American people?
Is it helping to promote a strong American culture? We should never bring people into this country who hate America. And when I... [applause]”
And not only that, in a city, the city of Minneapolis, the police chief, Mr. O'Hara basically talks as if basically he's viewing Somali Americans in the lens of law enforcement.
And this is totally wrong.
And by the way, we tried this, right? Minneapolis of all places, really? You want to go there again?
George Floyd, did you forget that? Right? Stereotyping people, killing them, right, until the country came almost on the brink of civil war or breakup.
And you want to do this again?
And I want to talk to the Somali Americans in that city, right? You, especially those of you who are in power, place of power, or business owners, you need to hold them accountable.
Because imagine, the police chief of the city of Miami, right, or Fort Lauderdale, any of those southern Florida cities, if they said something like that about the Cuban American community, would they still hold that job?
Or let's say this: if someone from Laredo, Texas said that about the Mexicans—maybe they do that, that's a different story, that's not a good example because they probably say those things, they're crazy in Texas.
But the point is, if you are going to be trying to create law and order and safety and all of that for people, you cannot look at their children and the entire community in the same brush.
Somali Americans here are largely law-abiding, largely, right?
They're doing all kinds of things from the fire department to police officers—they’re patrolling. His own officers are... Somalis are represented in there.
So I don't understand what he's trying to say. But it doesn't look good.
Whatever that's coming out of Minneapolis doesn't sound good.
And definitely what's coming out of Florida doesn't look good.
So we got to push back. We got to push back against these very racist—they're not even hiding their intentions.
We’re here to stay.
Whether we’re 10 millions or 5 millions or 100,000, we’re here to stay. Peace."
---
The classic ending: “We’re here to stay — whether 100k or 10 million.”
That line says everything.
Wanting strong vetting, safe communities, and an immigration system that serves Americans first does not equal prejudice. It’s the bare minimum for a functioning country.
DeSantis’ point stands:
🇺🇸 Legal vs illegal means nothing if the policy doesn’t benefit Americans.
🇺🇸 No nation should import hostility toward its own values.
🇺🇸 Culture, stability, and security matter.
America has every right to control who comes in — and to demand assimilation, not entitlement.
DeSantis is right to put U.S. citizens first.
Strong borders and sane immigration policy are not negotiable.
