Catherine Leroy was a war photographer in 1966 in Vietnam, she had a Leica M2 and Nikon F, Catherine is notably the first woman and only civilian photographer to parachute with US military in Vietnam during the fighting, during the extensive airborne operation Junction City. Captured by the Viet-Cong she was released in Hue, during the Têt offensive.
War photographers are incredibly courageous, taking photos in the most dangerous difficult conditions, many have lost their lives in conflicts around the world.
