The Parable of the Ten Virgins teaches that Jesus will return, and not everyone who looks ready is ready. Five had oil representing genuine faith and a real relationship with Christ.
Five only had lamps, an outward religion with no inner reality. When the Bridegroom came, it was too late to borrow what they lacked and the door was shut to them and they could not enter in.
The call is simple: walk with Jesus now, so you’re ready when He comes.
