Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One yesterday that he isn’t confident he’s going to heaven. But no true child of God should live with doubt or uncertainty about the reality of their adoption by grace and the assurance of their eternal security in Christ.
"The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs - heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ…” (Romans 8:16-17)
This passage explicitly reveals that the inner witness of the Spirit objectively and in actuality confirms our adoption into God’s family and eternal inheritance in Christ. This inner witness should inflame joy and rejoicing, not doubt.
