The Starvation Tower, or Hungerturm, is a historical landmark situated within the Königstein Fortress in Germany. Named after its use as a place of imprisonment and punishment. Constructed in the late 13th century, the tower’s grim purpose was to confine those deemed guilty of serious crimes, often leading to a slow and agonizing demise due to starvation.
