A young girl uses empty soup cans as hair rollers in the 1960s. This was one of the ways to straighten hair back then, since commercial hair straighteners weren’t widely available. Some girls used orange juice cans, beer cans, coffee cans, frozen juice containers, or soda cans, and even slept with them in to get the best results.
