REFLECTION CANYON, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Utah, USA 🇺🇸
It is positioned on the northeastern shore of Lake Powell, a vast reservoir created by the Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River.
This canyon is set against the remote and rugged desert terrain of southern Utah.
Reflection Canyon, like much of the Glen Canyon region, was carved over millions of years by natural erosion from water and wind.
However, the reservoir we see today, including the water-filled sections of Reflection Canyon, was formed much more recently in 1963, when the Glen Canyon Dam was completed on the Colorado River. The dam created Lake Powell, filling many canyons in the area, including Reflection Canyon, with water over the following years.
