🇬🇷♥️🇬🇷 On stunning Santorini island in #Greece, the ‘Karavolades Stairs’ of 588 steps connect Fira with the port.
This staircase connects Fira with Gialos, which was once the main port of the island. Today, it is a tourist attraction. Anyone wishing to make this trip without using the cable car has two options. Walk the stairs of 588 steps on foot or use the nice donkeys. Certainly the first is preferable because it allows you to enjoy more fully the route that in many places literally takes your breath away, both because of the steep slope and because of the magnificent view it offers. But be careful, because the whole route is mined by the likeable four-legged animals, which in fact there are points of the route that as they pass on the path you must be careful to always give them priority, because they will continue as if you do not exist anyway. So be careful! One tip: if you decide to walk it, take the downhill route and return to the cable car.
