Morning came softly in the Hundred Acre Wood, the way it always does—without rushing, without fuss, just quietly stretching golden light across the trees. And Pooh, being a bear who liked to greet the day slowly (especially when breakfast followed), sat at the edge of his doorway with a thoughtful sort of yawn.
It wasn’t that Pooh had big plans. Pooh rarely did. But he had small ones, which are often the best kind. First, he would sit for a while and watch the sun peek through the leaves. Then, if the day stayed gentle, he might visit Piglet, or perhaps Tigger, or maybe just wander until he stumbled upon something interesting—like a new thinking spot or an unexpectedly full honey pot.
“Morning is a very good time for nothing,” Pooh said aloud to no one in particular, “unless of course it’s a good time for something.”
And so the day began, not with noise or news or hurry, but with a soft breath of air and the simple joy of being exactly where he was, in a world where friendship and honey always found their way back home.
Because for Pooh, the best mornings weren’t the ones that started with plans…
They were the ones that started with peace.
