On this day, July 28, 1970, we remember PFC Timothy Allen White—gone far too soon.Just 18 years old, Timothy Allen White of Union Lake, Michigan, answered the call to serve during the Vietnam War. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and deployed as an Armor Intelligence Specialist with B Troop, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment—the legendary Blackhorse Regiment. He began his tour in Vietnam on March 23, 1970. Barely four months into his deployment, PFC White lost his life in Bien Hoa Province through non-hostile circumstances. A tragic accident ended the life of a young man with so much ahead of him.Timothy’s job was as unique as it was vital—an Armor Intelligence Specialist. He was the brain behind the brawn, helping armored units make sense of battlefield terrain, enemy positions, and strategy. His role required clarity, quick thinking, and courage.Born October 17, 1951, and raised in Oakland County, Michigan, Timothy brought with him to war the heart of the American Midwest. He was part of a generation asked to fight in a distant land—and he stood up to serve without hesitation.Today, we honor his sacrifice and the legacy he left behind.Rest easy, trooper. The Blackhorse rides on—but we carry your memory with us.#VietnamVeteran #HonorTheFallen #Blackhorse11ACR #NeverForgotten #TimothyAllenWhite #USArmy #UnionLakeHero #ArmorCavalry #OnThisDay #VietnamWar
