Last Message
I left the words
folded between silence and sky—
not to be loud,
but to be found
when the world quiets.
A single line,
not sent in anger,
not carved in grief—
just truth,
still warm from the pulse that wrote it.
"I loved you."
That was all.
Not "I love you still"
nor "I used to."
Just a verb,
untouched by time.
No need for answers,
no thread to pull—
only a soft closing
of something
that was once
wide open.
If you read it,
let it be a whisper
you carry
without needing
to say it back.
