My Three Sons in the Beginning
My Three Sons premiered in 1960 with Fred MacMurray as Steve Douglas, a widowed father raising three boys: Mike (Tim Considine), Robbie (Don Grady), and Chip (Stanley Livingston). William Frawley played Bub, the boys’ grandfather and housekeeper. When Frawley left after five seasons, William Demarest took over as Uncle Charley. Tim Considine also departed, and Barry Livingston joined as Ernie, the adopted third son. The show ran 12 seasons and moved from ABC to CBS in 1965.
