80 years ago, on 22nd April 1945, Sachsenhausen concentration camp and its 3,000 remaining prisoners were liberated by the Red Army.
It is estimated that 200,000 people passed through Sachsenhausen and its subcamps between 1936 and 1945. More than 30,000 of them died there.
