Taft Point in Yosemite National Park is a popular viewpoint that offers panoramic views of Yosemite Valley, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls. The 2.2-mile round trip hike is considered moderate and takes about two hours. The trail starts at 7,700 ft elevation and drops to 7,500 ft, with an overall elevation change of 200 ft. The first part of the hike is an easy walk through the woods, but the final 400 ft to Taft Point are rocky and uphill.
