Auschwitz II-Birkenau.
The new selection platform, which was operational from May 1944. This is where the SS doctors made the selection of arriving Jews, sentencing most of them to be murdered in gas chambers.
In the historical pictures, we can see the arrival of Jews from Hungary to Auschwitz. In the background, a historical freight train car - such a type was used to transport people to Auschwitz.
