There’s no such thing as a "Palestinian" people historically – in 1948, the Arabs in the area weren’t a nation by that name. They identified more with their local towns, clans, or as part of the broader Arab world. The term "Palestinian" was more of a geographic descriptor, not a national or ethnic identity. The "Palestinian" identity was created in the 1960s by Yasser Arafat, an Egyptian by birth, as a tool against Israel through the PLO. Before him, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem, tied the Arab cause to Nazism in the 1940s and collaborated with Hitler against Jews. These are historical facts, and thus there’s no justification for the "conflict" as a legitimate national struggle – it’s a product of an anti-Jewish agenda.
