The black-footed cat may be Africa's smallest feline, but it's also one of the world's most adept mammalian hunters — successfully catching its prey 60% of the time (compared to a leopard's 38% and a lion's 25%). A single cat can capture 12 - 13 meals a night and upwards of 3,000 rodents a year.
