U.S. Army Warrant Officer Gerald Ernest Woods was declared Missing in Action on February 18, 1971 after a rescue mission in Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam. Gerald was a 21 year old helicopter pilot from Salem, Oregon. A Company, 101st Aviation Battalion, 101st Airborne Division. Tragically, Gerald has not made it home. Hero.🇺🇸
