Another round of heavy rainfall over the weekend with already saturated ground will cause lake levels in our tributary reservoir system to rise sharply, with some approaching summer pool levels. Norris Lake, our largest tributary storage reservoir, is storing approximately 13 billion gallons of water from this week's rain.
All nine dams on the Tennessee River are spilling excess flood water and generating low-cost power with all available units.

So let me get this straight, you capture the rain and store it in " reservoirs " and then you release said water in manageable amounts to generate power. Why not just divert it directly into the sea and gain nothing? Seems to work in California! 🤦♂️
