We must not have “friendly” relations with China’s ruling group, which deliberately took the lives of 1.2 million Americans with COVID-19. This is not just a matter of justice. Xi Jinping knows what he did but can see we nonetheless try to accommodate him. He therefore thinks he can spread the next disease, which will target only non-Chinese, with impunity.
