🇲🇽🇺🇸 MEXICO’S PRESIDENT: THE U.S. SHOULD BE CALLED MEXICAN AMERICA Claudia Sheinbaum had no time for Trump’s latest headline-grabbing plan to rename the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America.” At her morning press conference, she fired back with her own jab. Sheinbaum: “Why don’t we call the United States ‘Mexican America’? It sounds nice, doesn’t it?” Sheinbaum also reminded Trump that the Gulf of Mexico is, in fact, the UN-recognized name—sorry, Don—and brushed off his usual jab that “Mexico is run by drug cartels,” quipping, “In Mexico, the people rule.” Meanwhile, Trump’s doubling down on his greatest hits: threatening tariffs, throwing tantrums over immigration, and reviving his idea to label Mexican drug cartels as terrorist groups.
