Sunrise at Monument Valley (2017) Monument Valley, Arizona Blue skies and red rocks make for an inviting desert scene at sunrise in Monument Valley, Arizona as seen from Hunts Mesa in a massive grand scenic. This area is designated to the Navajo tribe and is only accessible using a Navajo guide. I climbed down some rocks to get the position of the sun perfectly aligned with a small hole in the rocks to create a wonderful sunstar which makes for a nice anchor in the upper right of the photo.
