Great idea. Cut an apple in half, scoop out the apple halves, melt caramel candies, pour the melted caramel into the scooped apple halves and let the apple halves sit while the caramel hardens again. When cool, you can put in the refrigerator for a bit to make sure the caramel is completely hardened.
