Jeanne Kalman, the oldest documented person in history, who lived 122 years, smoked for 95 years. At the age of 90, she entered into a contract with a lawyer whereby he was to pay her an allowance for the rest of her life in exchange for an apartment. However, Kalman outlived the lawyer, and his widow was forced to continue the payments, which eventually exceeded twice the value of the apartment.
