Isn’t it funny how it’s now normal to allow someone access to our bodies, but not our hearts. Casual sex is rampant. People have sex without having any sort of love for each other. They’ll tell you this is normal, and it’s good. It’s actually not. It’s evil and it’s poisoning you. The problem is we do this, because now we believe that body and mind, soul and flesh, are disconnected. Someone can have our bodies and not our mind. Someone can see our flesh and not our soul. They aren’t disconnected, they aren’t separate. Your body and mind, your soul and flesh are one. When you allow someone access to your body you allow access to your mind. This is exactly why sexual immorality has such profound consequences on us. Low marriage rates, high divorce, anxiety, depression, abortion, low child rates, infertility, STIs, inability to connect, etc, are all consequences of this lie we have embraced. You aren’t apart from your soul. You aren’t a separate being that can harm the flesh and not the mind. What we do with our bodies we pay with our souls. Do not forget this.
