Today is a sad day for us. We’ve lost so many of our cruising friends over the years but this one is especially tough for us. Sue Smith of Performance Cruising (Telstar and Gemini Catamarans) has passed away. We met Sue and Tony in 1984 when we bought our first boat, a Gemini Catamaran. Sue and Tony looked out for us as we were, most definitely, novices and that began our 40 year friendship. She will be sorely missed. This photo was taken from the veranda of their houme in Maryland where we always stopped… and stayed… when we traveled north to visit the kids. We generally planned to staying a couple of days, but we always stayed a couple of weeks because we had such fun talking about our, and their, exploits on the water. She will be sorely missed.
