Like many other Native American tribes - including the Pawnee - the Ojibwe made extensive use of war clubs. As with other groups, the Ojibwe’s war clubs were designed to be both beautiful and deadly, with this example being carved to look similar to a deer’s leg. The heavy sphere at the end would have proven effective at splitting skulls during conflicts. This object was made out of hardwood and it would have been a significant possession to a warrior, signifying his strength and success in battle @CherokeeOwl 🦉 @BrettColdwell
