Dutch pensioner Jan Beulenkamp recently ended his life through euthanasia following the severe trauma he endured during a vicious home invasion late last year.
In November 2023, Jan was brutally assaulted while in bed, resulting in brain damage and a series of horrific injuries.
Despite efforts by his wife, children, and medical professionals to aid his recovery, Jan's quality of life significantly declined.
He struggled with speech difficulties, partial paralysis, and severe mental distress. This made him decide euthanise was his best option.
