Above and Beyone in Ocala, Florida Officer Tussey and his trainee officer, Officer Reyes, were doing a security check in the Golden Holiday mobile home community. Officer Tussey noticed an elderly woman struggling to mow her grass in the middle of the day and took it upon himself to intervene. Officer Tussey safely stowed his duty gear with his trainee in his vehicle and finished mowing her yard. Though it only took a small amount of time, it made a lasting impression on the senior resident. What's more, is that Officer Tussey wasn't seeking any recognition or praise; he had no idea that someone had taken a picture of this deed. Officer Tussey's actions also taught a valuable lesson to Officer Reyes, illustrating the importance of going above and beyond our official duties to serve others.
