Here is something fun for all of us with a Napoleonic complex đŸ€Ș
Napoleonaea imperialis, also known as Napoleon’s Hat, is a small, evergreen tropical tree native to West Africa. It belongs to the family Lecythidaceae and typically grows up to 6 meters in height. The tree has a dense, low-branching crown and is found in countries like Benin, Nigeria, Gabon, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The flowers of Napoleonaea imperialis are quite striking, with a saucer-shaped base and frilly margins. They are usually creamy yellow with a center that can range from red to apricot to purple. The flowers develop either on young branches or directly from the old wood of the trunk1. The fruit is a dark orange or reddish-brown berry containing a kidney-shaped seed.
