Puya Alpestris or the “Sapphire Tower”
This plant is actually in the same family as the pineapples and it’s a tall striking plant from Chile , Andean region.
What is more interesting is that this plant may take up to a decade to flower , so seeing this in flower is quite exciting.
She adapted to be pollinated by hummingbirds this is why it grows so tall !
