The EU Council approves additional duties on grains, oilseeds and their processed products from Russia and Belarus.
The duties will be €95 per ton for grains and 50% of the import value for oilseeds and their processed products.
"This should effectively stop its exports to Europe, deprive the aggressor of profits, and help stabilize the European market. European and Ukrainian farmers will benefit from this decision, while the Russian economy will lose,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The restrictions will come into effect on July 1.
