Biblical Patriarchy Brings Joy Women are happier when they are caring for a family while honoring and submitting to their husbands as their lord. (1 Peter 3:5-6) Men are happier when they are providing for their family, while sacrificially loving their wives. (1 Tim. 5:8, Eph. 5:25) Turns out biblical patriarchy can make everyone happy. Living in accordance with your nature, and obeying God‘s commands will bring about deep and abiding joy. So Christians… can we please stop being embarrassed about “the patriarchy?” God isn’t. Patriarchy is how God designed the world. It cannot be escaped. It will either be godly and ordered according to scripture, or it will be wicked. Let’s get to work building a godly patriarchy.
