🇺🇸🇷🇺RUSSIAN TROOPS MOVE INTO U.S BASE IN NIGER Secretary of Defense Austin confirmed that Russian troops are occupying part of Airbase 101 in Niger, which also hosts U.S forces. “Airbase 101, where our forces [are], is a Nigerien air force base that is co-located with an international airport in the capital city. The Russians are in a separate compound and don’t have access to U.S forces or access to our equipment.” The news comes as the U.S prepares to withdraw its troops from Niger after the country’s military rulers told them they weren’t welcome anymore.
