They’ll have you believing that acting like the world is all fun, that they are truly happy, fulfilled… I’ve done the drinking, I’ve done drugs, I’ve done the long nights out, the sex, the immodesty, the partying, the smoking and all the degeneracy And at the end of the day when I eventually had to face myself with the loneliness, emptiness and lack of meaning that I had been trying all day to fill with these things they told me would fix it, the truth was still there, forever staring right back at me — none of it had any meaning and it never would. You can run from many things, but you can never run from yourself. Your conscious is screaming at you, it was screaming at me — this poison does nothing but corrupt your soul and the only antidote is at the foot of the cross.
