Dixie Virginia Carter (May 25, 1939 – April 10, 2010) died 14 years ago today on April 10, 2010 in Houston, Texas as a result of Endometrial Cancer. She was a sultry southern actress best known for her role as "Julia Sugarbaker" on the hit television series "Designing Women." She was survived by her husband, actor Hal Holbrook.
