From a friend: What’s America to Me? The house I live in, A plot of earth, a street. The grocer and the butcher And the people that I meet. The children in the playground, The faces that I see, All races and religions, That's America to me. #AmericatoMe I’ve known this song since I was a little girl. I’ve loved this country for 3/4s of a century. It’s devastating to me that the US is known for evil instead of good; that we are a people divided; and that more of our officials are selected than elected. It is past time to return to our core values of truth and honesty, the love of humanity and devotion to God. There is no way forward if we don’t return to the values upon which this nation was established.
