What IS the Dome of Rock? It’s not a Mosque since it doesn’t have a Mehrab chamber, so that’s eliminated. They built a mosque in the vicinity later. We are told it’s a shrine. Shrine for what? We are told the Prophet started (or ended?) his Miraj journey from that stone - has no basis in the Quran whatsoever. And why does it have Catholic imitation of domes and arches all over the monument? When Kaba the central “mosque” of Islamic faith is a cube. Why does it imitate Mary’s tomb which has Octagonal base architecture? t was built on top of the Jewish temple. That’s what it is. Muslim colonialism.
