After the Russian Central Committee announced the predetermined results, congratulatory messages flooded in from various supporters of Kremlin leader Putin, disregarding the legality of the so-called "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine: ▫️ China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended congratulations to Putin, expressing confidence in the continued development of relations between Russia and China. ▫️ Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro hailed the voting results as a triumph for Putin and his political movement. ▫️ Bolivian President Luis Arce asserted that Putin's confident victory underscores the unity of the Russian people around sovereignty and continuous development. ▫️ Additional congratulations came from leaders including Kim Jong Un of North Korea, Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, Xiomara Castro of Honduras, Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua, Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, and Min Aung Hlain of Myanmar. However, several Western leaders and diplomats condemned the pseudo-elections in Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine, refusing to recognize their results: ▫️ Yoshimasa Hayashi, General Secretary of the Cabinet of Japan, refrained from commenting on the Russian "elections" but emphasized Tokyo's non-recognition of their occurrence in the occupied territories of Ukraine. ▫️ White House representative John Kirby labeled the Russian Federation's "elections" as neither free nor fair. ▫️ The German Foreign Ministry declared the elections in the occupied territories of Ukraine as having no legal validity. ▫️ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland similarly refused to acknowledge the results of the "elections" in the occupied territories of Ukraine. ▫️ Latvian Foreign Minister Krishjanis Karinsh suggested that the elections in Russia have become purposeless. ▫️ Head of the British Foreign Ministry, David Cameron, criticized Putin's "elections" as dishonest and emphasized London's non-recognition of the vote in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
