In North Korea it is mandatory that you hang portraits of the Kim family on the most prominent wall in your home. The portraits are regularly inspected for cleanliness and maintenance.
If your house burns down, you must rescue the portraits before your own children. If you don't, you will be imprisoned in a forced labour camp.
