How propaganda works
We've been blasted with a barrage of ridiculously false stories about Israel in the last week alone
- Yazan dying of malnutrition
- Two baby twins dying from an IDF bomb
- Israel killing +100 hungry Gazans that just tried to get some food
One might wonder, do people really believe these stories? Aren't the people sharing these tales even slightly ashamed?
Unfortunately the answers are not good.
Last night I saw on the news on international tv the story of the baby twins. The faces of the "babies" were blurred. The story said "this woman lost her husband and her two-months-old baby twins when the IDF bombed their house in Gaza. She was trying to get pregnant for 10 years..."
Basically repeating the story as it was told by the Palestinians who made it up.
We saw the same behavior by media outlets with the Al-Ahli hospital "bombing" back in October 17th
We see the same with every other major story this week
Journalism is dead.
They will repeat anything. They will just take clips from TikTok or Telegram, do zero fact checking, and run the story as fact.
The people initially publishing these stories know this perfectly.
The audience is NOT you, the informed person on X, the audience is the distracted normal person that gets just bits and pieces of information on social media or watching the news on TV
The other night I went out to dinner with friends. One of them told me "I don't know much about what is going on but I can tell you that in my opinion Israel is totally exaggerating"
That's a very typical position of people who are simply uninformed, not interested enough to really search for the truth, but still feel that they need to take a moral stance
Israel cannot win this propaganda war. The enemies are too many.
But we can (and must) do our part
Even if it's a drop in the ocean.
Some people out there are SEEKING THE TRUTH, and it's our duty to keep telling it!
