It used to be that people got married and then together they built their careers, homes, families… Now, everyone wants to have all this done before they get married. They want a good job, a house, money saved, an established life. So much is now lost that used to be built together, used to be used to fortify the relationship as a couple. Now two independent already used to doing every thing alone individuals come together and, not surprisingly, of course have a much more difficult time building something meaningful and long lasting together. Individualism is the death of marriage.
